The committee of role play and speech contest whom I respect,
And all of the audiences whom I respect,
First of all, lets thank to Allah the almighty who has giving us mercy and blessing so we can attend this peaceful meeting without any obstacles in this happy occasion.
Furthermore, we specially send our peace and salutation to our prophet Muhammad SAW, his family his, servant, and us as his followers.
And now, Allow me to speech under by the title :
English as the window of the world
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We as human being can not live without language. Because language is a system of communication in speech and writing that is used by people to communicate with the other people.
Now, I would like to take English language as the main topic of my speech.
Many people who said that English is the most important language and called as the window of the world.
There are some reasons which make English called as the window of the world.
The first is because English is an international language. It’s spoken by many people all over the world, either as the first or second language. If we able to speak English, automatically we will be able to communicate with people from the different place, different country, or different nations. And then, we will feel that the world will be wider for us than before.
Let’s think, what will happen to us if we are in another country but we can not speak English? I’m sure that we can not do anything there.

The second reason which makes English called as the window of the world is because English is also the key which open doors to scientific and technical knowledge which is needed for the economic an political development of many countries in the world. Our country has to connect with the other countries to able to work together in economic, security, or political sector. And to do it, we have to use English as the international language to communicate with them.
In this global era, there is internet as the source of universal knowledge. All of the information of this world is there in the internet. So, to able to use internet service, we have to master computer which uses English language in it’s programs. Once again we see that English is really the window of the world.
And the last reason Is because English is a top requirement of those seeking jobs. English makes the applicants is easier to get job, because Applicants who master English either active or passive English are more favorable than those who don’t.
With English we can be an English teacher, we can go abroad to get more wealthy, becoming broadcaster, translator and so on that prove that English is really the window of the world so we can do anything by using it.
By learning English, you’ll open the world’s gate. At about 75 % of the world knowledge books are written in English language. So just with master English we will hold the world in our hands.
